RECYCLE OMAHA: Omaha's first mini-festival designated to elevating reclaimed materials

March 4, 2026, For Immediate Release: RECYCLE OMAHA: a mini-recycled art and fashion festival will take place April 24 through April 26th, 2026 at Clover 24 Omaha located at 2200 South 24th St in Omaha, Nebraska to celebrate Earth Day month.

This event is hosted in collaboration with Omaha’s first creative reuse center:  Creative Reuse Omaha, a non-profit art supply reuse center, and Sustainably LB, creator of Conscious Collections Fest and co-founder of Swap Omaha. The three day festival is an artist-driven event that celebrates art and fashion made from recycled/reclaimed/and up-cycled materials.

This festival features a juried art exhibition featuring more than 30 local artists and designers titled: Beyond the Bins featuring recycled material artworks curated by Omaha-based, Laurie Lamoureux and Molly Toberer; also a sustainable fashion focused showcase titled : Beyond the Bins - Textile Transcendence centering Omaha’s slow fashion community, brought to you by Sustainably LB.  This grassroots fashion showcase highlights local upcycle-centered designers, vintage, curated secondhand, and pre-loved collections that creates community within the sustainable fashion scene in Omaha. The goal of the fashion show is to connect people with like-minded individuals and showcase ethical and sustainable fashion in a way that doesn’t come off as elitist.  Sustainably LB’s Beyond the Bins - Textile Transcendence will debut Friday, April 24th, 2026,  at 7 pm in the “Chip Fryer” Gallery at Clover 24 Omaha.

In partnership with Omaha’s community creatives, come celebrate style and art with Omaha’s ethical fashion and art community and experience a small part of our community’s vast, yet often hidden, sustainable scene.

During the festival, Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, 2026 between 12-5 pm taking place are artist-led workshops and art activities for all ages utilizing reclaimed/recycled materials that are open to public participation.  tickets go live April 1, 2026. Click GET TICKETS to purchase.

RECYCLE OMAHA supports artists and designers who incorporate recycled materials to foster economic growth within the arts community but to also encourage sustainable practices and promote creative ways to rethink waste for the broader community.

All artworks, fashion collections, and workshops feature at least 75% recycled, reused, or repurposed materials.

Support for this festival is funded in part by the Douglas County Visitor Improvement Fund Grant, and Clover 24 Omaha.
